Tasks
  • Tracking and Monitoring: Using GPS and other tracking technologies to continuously monitor the location, status, and progress of various assets (e.g., trucks, shipments, personnel) in real-time. 

  • Communication: Serving as the primary point of contact between drivers or personnel in the field and the company's operational center. They communicate instructions, updates, and respond to any needs or emergencies that arise during transit. 

  • Scheduling and Routing: Deciding the best routes for transportation based on factors like traffic conditions, delivery times, and vehicle availability. They may also be involved in scheduling pickups, deliveries, and coordinating with clients or other departments within the organization. 

  • Problem-Solving: Quickly addressing and resolving issues that occur during transit, such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, or route changes, to minimize disruptions and ensure timely deliveries. 

  • Record-Keeping: Maintaining detailed logs and records of dispatches, including times, routes, incidents, and communications with drivers or field personnel. 

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensuring that all transportation activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards. They might also be involved in training personnel on safety practices and protocols.
